wont start,advice needed

hello,i have a 1978,2 stroke 35hp selva ,it has spark on the plugs and fuel going to the carb,but it seems no fuel going to the plugs ,can you help,,thanks piperdog

Carefully squirt fuel mix into the carb intake if the motor responds you most likely need to rebuild the carb with careful attention to cleaning all passages and jets.If the motor has sat a lot you should go through the fuel syatem from tank to carb.

For step by step troubleshooting, go to the Engine FAQs forum (above) and do "Outboard won't start".

I agree with Spike, you probably have a gummed up carburetor.

thanks for the help,now i know its no good for the engine ,but i spayed easy start into the carb and still nothing
