Good Evening,
I have a 1977 'rude V4 85hp. I managed to get it running, and it runs nice and smooth. I just put 1 pint of seafoam in 4 gallons of 50:1 mixed gas.
After running for about 5 minutes, the pitch of the motor changes, almost like the RPM's are increasing. I can no longer see any exhaust coming out. At this point I can no longer shut off the motor with the key. I have to choke it to kill it.
I started it up again, and was able to turn it off immediately with the key. Did this a few times, and let the motor sit for about 15 minutes. Started it again and it does the same thing.
I am running it on muff's in the backyard. The heads and block are cool to the touch. I tested the switch with my multimeter, and it all works.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
