wont idel

[empty hooks]

i have a 2004 rinker captiva 232 its powered by a merc 5.0 mpi with a bravo 3 . i was running the boat and a alarm went off so i slowed down to a idel and the boat stalled . to start the boat i have to put it in neutral and rev it up a little and then hurry and put it into gear and go . the boat then runs good until i try to idle in or out of gear . i just pursched the boat this summer and its nothing like the 1985 century i had before . i also called the dealer and they said it could be the air flow sensor . is that something easy to change or should i just let them hook the computer up to it and pay for the service call ?

Get it hooked up to a diagnostic computer and find out what is going on, or you will spend weeks checking every little item and throwing parts at everything that is suggested.
