I've got a 1988 Searay with a 135hp merc. It's got a 14.5 X 19 prop on it. I took the boat up to a high lake and the boat started up great. I threw the boat in reverse and no problems. Once i went to go forward the boat would only idle in forward. Everything looked o.k. I was checking everything out and didn't see anything out of the reg. Playing around for a bit and once the temp of the boat got over 180 deg. the boat began to pick up and run almost normal. we than played out on the water the rest of the night. The next morning the same thing had to wait for it to warm up past about 180 deg. I've only taken the boat out a few times before this and never had a problem with it going forward till it warmed up. I also have to have my throttle handle almost halfway forward before i start to get any forward motion out of my boat. I also do dont get much power on take off. It takes a moment to get any power going forward. Thanks Ron
