Re: Women and fishing

My wife and three daughters all love to fish and usually outfish me!
Only trouble is I sometimes have to sneak out midweek when they cannot go so the boat is quiet.
I love the weekend trips out when we usually take all 6 and picnic, dive, swim, fish and set the net for mullet.
Life is great isn't it.
Oh, my 21yr old daughter has bought a kayak and she brings that with her. I'm beginning to get the hang of it and want to try fishing from it.
Ross

As I have posted in the past my wife is the first one in the boat. She is in charge of the food and drinks. I have to admit that I eat better when she's along

My wife loves to fish and she's always ready to go. Sometimes she convinces me that chores or going somewhere can all be put off while we go fishing. The best part is that she cleans all the fish too. Now if I could get her to clean the boat life would be perfect.

Beachbum49, sounds to me like you've got one heck of a lady. She catches all the fish, cleans them, cooks them, and you're whining about cleaning the boat? :p ;)

Wow how do you guys get so lucky. My wife will not set foot in either of my boats. She likes to fish once in a while but can't swim and WILL NOT get in the boat. :( If I could only figure out how to put a shopping mall in the boat with me, I could actually get to go fishing without hearing the complaints. I wish I could figure out how to get her to go and enjoy it. I would like to spend some time with us doing a hobby that I enjoy.

Drive camp

guess i'm one of the lucky ones too then. not only does my wife like to fish, but she cleans all the fish, runs the boat and in general, keeps me straight while we are on the water. oh did i add that she offloads the boat and reloads.. so i think i have a pretty good deal.....bob

Ladyfish, I'm not whinning just saying I love what I got but as with everything, nothing is perfect ;) . By the way you aren't completely correct in your statement. She just recently ended a 2 month drought by catching something worth keeping. :D

Mine too, is my best fishing buddy. She gets mad if she don't get to go.

She will sit there as long as I want to and fish with no complaints. Been that way for 32+ years now.
Life is good for sure. :D

OH yea, LF, when you jerk and come back with just the lips, it's time to lighten up justtttt a little on the jerk ;)

I'm the first one in the boat when the opportunity arises. It helped growing up in a fishing and water sports family. Moms and Dads, take your kids fishing with you. They'll thank you later.
My husband and I just bought our first boat this summer and we didn't know if he'd like it. (He's afraid of water.) But he's not anymore. He does like boating.!! I'm so happy because we can share something I love to do. Life is so good!! :D :D
