I bought my husband an old outboard at a yard sale today for $1.00 (yes guys, a dollar)! It will act like it wants to crank up but my husband wants to perform some basic maintenance/tune up stuff first but we don't know model of this thing, it's old and little is left to read on it. Problem: The serial numbers are not legible. All I know is that it says it is a Wizard 7.5 hp by Western Auto (?) and it is a Tecumseh engine and there are these numbers on the side 1323-11. We need spark plugs etc. so any help i.e. the model this may be would be so appreciative! Thanks, Tami

Your motor was probably built by Eska.It uses
a Tecumseh power head Im guessing it is an AV750
or AV817.
My manual only goes to 72 so im a little limited. If it is a standard mag type ignition it
uses points set at .020. J13Y (old number)plug
set to .035. These numbers are the same through the all the Tecumseh unit block models that year.
16:1 fuel ratio 1/2 pt.of air cooled 2 stroke oil to a gallon.
You should really try to find a manual. Ebay is a good place to start.Youll probably end up with an after market manual My manual is an Abos and
it covers 60-72 many brands a little skimpy on
info. but adaquate.A small engine shop may be willing to supply info on the power head and should be able to get parts. My guess is
NAPA auto parts may be able to do small engine parts as well.

If your model is a 6907A, it is the same as a 1959 Scott. If your model is a 6908 , it's the same as 1960-62 Scott. If your model is 6909, it's the same as a 1963-64 Scott.
