Hello to all, warmer weather is coming!! So today i started the task of removing parts from the 68 Evinrude Lark 40 hp, everything is going very well, and all bolts screws etc, are in separate bags and labeled. One exhaust cover has come off with ease, but the other exhaust cover isn't being so cooperative. I did unbolt the following in the engine compartment....
Starter Solenoid
Fuel connection
Voltage regulator
Throttle Shaft Gears
Outside Engine mounts
Engine harness clip (under front handle)
Now i am able to shake and or move the exhaust cover, and it is loose. So I'm missing something, if someone can chime in here, that would be great!

Hello folks, well we started and made some good progress today, got the long and short wiring harnesses removed, as well as some components located inside the exhaust cover. I guess the next step here is to lay these out in the work bench, and start building new ones, looks a little interesting but hopefully all goes well.
