I think the other M terminal on the key needs to be hooked to a ground wire.

The overtemp alarm horn in the control box should have a tan wire (coming through the wiring harness from the heat switch) on one side, and on the other, a purple wire leading to the "A" terminal on the keyswitch.

The tan wire has a sleeve within a few inches from the switch - with the key turned "on", peel back the sleeve and touch the metal to the engine block, the horn should sound.

With the engine running, test your keyswitch by touching the the black/yellow to a good ground - if that shuts the engine off, the keyswitch is bad or hooked up incorrectly. If it doesn't, then the black/yellow has a fault somewhere in the wiring harness. Let us know if you need help troubleshooting that.
