wiring for 1982 astroglass

Can some please tell me were I might get a diagram of the wiring for a 1982 astroglass bass boat. The trouble I am having is there are 3 tilt and trim switches on the boat. At first they all worked the the one by the motor quit, now the one by the copit quit but the one in the front of the boat still works. I have replaced the two switches, but they still do not work. Any help would be helpful<br />Thanks nebtnman

troubleshoot the circuit at the switches to begin. get behind the switches and introduce current from the battery as the switch would to determine what the problem is. i have several lengths of self made test wires with alligator clip ends for this purpose. also check the voltage at the supply behind all non functioning switches. if the supply is good and the first test works check the voltage on the pump feed wires when the switch is activated.

The wires at the switch ends broke due to vibration or corrosion when you were checking or replacing the switches. Put new lugs on all the leads at the switches. Do each wire ONE at a time. Do not take 2 off at a time or you could cause your problem.

I'm glad I saw this post, I have a similar model Astroglass (1980) Cheater SX and what I want to know is what the purpose of the Run/Charge switch part is, up at the bow where trolling motor and trim switches are. The switch for it is missing so I don't know how it's wired.

Thanks guys for al the help back up and running<br />turned out to be the power coonection on the plug at the motor had corrosion and had broken off. One more question does anyone now if there is a rebuild kit for the vro and fuel pump. If I run at full bore it acts like is running out of fuel, as long as I keep pumping the fuel primer it continues to run.<br />It is an 85 Johnson GT 150<br />Thanks again for all your help<br />Nebtnman

nebtnman, I just asked about the fuel pump for mine 1977 85hp V4. I was told the whole pump is replaced as a whole instead of rebuilt. I don't know about VRO, I don't have that on mine.<br /><br />ColdFire, if ya can send me email if you can manage a good image of the diagram <br />my email is my member name @ peoplepc.com

Coldfire, thanks got them. I'll sit down and draw up a diagram for mine when I got time. I rewired mine but not completely down just got a few minor things to finish. I just put a brand new Motorguide 12V on mine, took the old Johnson 2400 off so I have to change the wiring for it, and I'll figure out what I need to do to rig my charger into it. That schematic ought to help me some though in refining the present wiring.
