The limit switch connect directly into the trim pump harness. The gauge sender connects to wires in the engine loom. That may be through a connector mounted on the engine, yes...

Hey Chris I know this is a old thread. I had to rewire the ignition again. Some how I got a ground that was a hot wire. Do I splice the battery wire before ignition which makes sense so I don't need key on for lights, blowers, n fish finder. Or splice off ignition then to the buss bar.

DON'T put non-engine wiring on the engine harness. Causes too many problems down the track. Run a new 6mm pair (red and black) from the switched side of the battery switch, through a 60A circuit breaker, to a red and a black terminal block. Run all your lights, blowers, sounders, GPSs, bilge pumps, noise makers (ghetto blasters), two-way radios from those terminal blocks. Leave the engine harness with just engine stuff on. I would add only a fuel gauge and an hourmeter to the engine harness, nothing else.
