Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this engine??? I am missing something up near the switch, and if I had a diagram to look at I could get it figured out. Thanks

Don't have a diagram, but what is the problem you've encountered?

Re: wiring diagram 1995 115 evinrude

It started the other day, but I removed the steering cable, and put a new one on. Now the engine won't turn over, but I can hear the choke kick in, and my gas, and alternator gauge still works. I think I may have lost the ground, but I am not sure. When I pulled the panel to look at all the wires, I noticed a couple that have what appears to have bare spots (mice holes) in them. I just don't want to get one backwards. Thanks

Hopefully someone gets that diagram to you. In the START position, voltage should flow between the "B" (battery) terminal of the ignition switch to the "S" (solenoid) terminal of the ignition switch, and from that "S" terminal to one of the small 3/8" nut terminals of the starter solenoid at the engine.

Unfortunately I don't know what color that wire might be on the 1995 model. The other 3/8" nut terminal of the solenoid simply connects to a powerhead ground.

A neutral safety switch exists within the normal type control box OR within the top console type control box that might have been knocked out of adjustment or had a wire pulled off when doing that steering cable job. This switch normally prevents voltage from reaching the starter solenoid when the engine is in gear.
