Wires at the outdrive

Hello found some cut wires at the outdrive are these needed? and what are they for? Boat seems to work fine without them being connected. Merc 898, not sure of the outdrive. Thanks.

could ya be a little more vague? possible wires for the trim gauge? not so much needed. possible wires for the trim limit switch? yeah, sorta needed. oh and welcome to the forums!

More than likely those are you trim sender and trim limit switch wires.
Do you have a trim guage? If not, don't worry about the wires.
