Well, the ratzakratza thing is gone. Sorry I waited so long. HP POJ dropped keystrokes and added keystrokes. Had to spend many extra minutes editing my posts so they made some sense.

Others have the same experience?

Re: Wireless keyboard experience

On my desk is a IBM PS/2 keyboard dated Aug 1989. I have never had good luck with wireless stuff when it starts to run dead. That said, the desktop that I use to 'talk' to my Commadore 64 1541 drive ( write downloaded programs to disk ) has a RII mini wireless keyboard/ mouse combo. it does not get much use, but it works fine and has for a couple years.

Tried replacing batteries. No joy. Tried raising the keyboard to same level as CPU, some improvement, but not nearly enough.

I guess it must be just the HP version that does that.

Logitech products are great. I've never had any issues with mine but I understand their service is fantastic if you do have problems.

Agreed. I would choose a Logitech over an HP in most cases. I've got a couple of Logitech wireless mice that are abused mercilessly and keep on going (actually like 'em better than the Mac mice).

Maybe it is something in my particular environment. Router and cordless phone within a couple of feet.

Re: Wireless keyboard experience

If it uses a usb device to receive signals from the keyboard It should be placed on the front usb ports...they work on a very weak signal...almost line of sight.
