Is the wire harness that comes out of the control box for hooking up gauges? Its a 3 wire harness, purple, gray and black. I was thinking gray is for tach, black ground, but i was unsure about purple. any help?

I don't think my tach has a harness. the gauges are new teleflex amega gauges if that helps.

The harness is for any tach ... the tach doesn't have it's own. Purple is the switched hot for internal illumination, grey is pulse +, black is ground.

You understand you need the mating connector with a long pigtail that terminates at the tach, right?
