I have only seen a couple around, so I wonder how many are left out there.
B.C.

What vintage is yours? The Winner co when through several rebirths. Mine is a '72 Viscount. 21' Cuddy cabin with the inboard/outboard 165 option.

Re: Winner's here

brother cris, I think I got your boat's sister. Mine is a '76 17ft Maurader, if I remember correctly. That's the name that was on the "dashboard" No pictures here, but what really resembles my boat and yours is the rear upper corners. So what year is yours? BTY, I have a '76 115 Johnson hanging off the back on mine.

Re: Winner's here

The plate on the boat is too faded to tell what year it is.
I can read that the max hp is 80 :(
The top speed, clocked by my gps is 33mph

I wish I could have a 115 hanging off the back of mine...that would be SWEET!
What's your top speed PDS?

Re: Winner's here

My top speed was 43 mph but that's off the boat's speedometer, so I'm sure it was slower. The RPM's were just right at 5500 if I recall correctly(I was checking to see if I should buy a different size or pitch prop)
Just how long is your boat, brother cris? And is it a walk-through front or solid front(mine's solid with a split((hinged)) windshield) I am curios because I too haven't seen many Winner boats and before I bought mine way back in 1990 never heard of this brand of boat.

Mine is a 16ft and is not a walk-through...yet.
I am trying to find a 3-pane window, with a walk=through. It makes it easier to beach it.
Overall, the boat is great. I like it. :D

I'd like to see a pic of your boat at some point, if possible, because you are right, there are not alot of them around.

Its a16 foot boat with a volvo 2 litre penta inboard.8) He is lookiong for a new windshield frame for it as the bottom of the original drame is missing. Its a 2 panel windshield not a 3 panel like most of the boats I've seen pictures of.

Hey all, I bought this boat about a month ago. It is a 1986 Winner Seaquest. I think it is an 1850CC based on the research i did on this website.

Re: Winner's here

I just purchased this 1972 17" Winner. I'm not sure what model it is, thought maybe it might be a Wildcat. I have started a quick restore just to get her in the water this summer. Full restore will begin in the winter. If anyone could tell me what model she is for certain would be much appreciated. Any info at at is very welcome. Here she is.....

Hey, came across ur inquiry. I know this boat WELL. It is a Mercury Marauder, Winner. Ours is a '73. I like the red paint on it, ours is blue. We still have ours in unreal condition as it was used only 2 months a year in a fresh water lake and stored in a sealed garage between seasons. I know this boat as it is the one I learned to ski with back in the day. Ours still works, but we are going to sell it to a local handyman who helps my parents with things. That should help you with your search for additional items. And watch the split windshiield! I still have the scar from jumping off the bow into the boat (it's sharp as all getout). Enjoy and have fun with it...fond memories of that boat!

Re: Winner's here

Here is a picture taken in the fall of 2007. Still own the boat, using it about 25 hrs a year. It is a 1970 Cobra 142 (14' 2"), model # 612. Serial # is 704863-BL. Had boat since new, but she is on her third motor. First motor was a 65 hp which was replaced with 450 hrs on it after 3 years. Second motor was a 1973, 115 hp for more skiing power (we were a family of show skiers). That motor lasted 2200 hrs with 2 rebuilds. Present motor is a 1988 90 hp with 1008 hrs on it, which is still running strong. Boat was rated for 80 hp. Noticed this year that the floor is getting soft towards the back of the boat. I had to rebuild the transom before putting the 1988 motor on it. Salt water penetration rotted out most of the wood in there. Repair work is holding up good till this day.

And another picture.

Re: Winner's here

I still have a 16 ft. winner boat that I bought used in 1985 for $1000.00. I'm not entirely sure of the year or model. The serial # is 603 22175, so if the first two numbers are indicative of the date of manufacture, as seems to be the case for electricjohn's boat, than it's confirmed. I'll have to post some pictures soon. I wouldn't call it restored but it looks pretty good after some new paint, carpet, and interior designing.

Re: Winner's here

Got another nice picture this summer of my 1970 winner to go along with the pic's in post 18. This time I got both boats listed in my signature. First time both were in the water together.
