Hello,

For some reason I have always loved this style boat. I am not an avid fisherman. I do enjoy fishing. I mostly enjoy scooting along the lake and whatever.

Would it be nutts to buy a Fish n Ski if you are not a big time fisherman?

Would it be nutts to buy a boat from 1988?

Would it be nutts to buy a boat froma defunct builder?

The floor layout on this boat is excellent.

I almost bought one.

I beleive they were asking too much for this boat. I also noticed that the transom/splashwell area has some cracks. They told me 90% of all boats have stress cracks there. I don't buy it.
I was able to feel them because the crack made the surface uneven.

My friends 1984 Ranger didn't have any.. His 2001 Triton
doesn't have any.

Will I be able to find a Winner Chameleonw without cracks on the transom?

Re: Winner Chameleon

Winner is an excellent boat. The builder went under because of poor business decisions, not poor boat-building. They don't use wood for stringers, so rot is less of a concern. It appears that it has a relatively new Suzuki on the back which is why the price tag is up there. Probably actually a good value.

Would you be afraid of the Cracks in the transom?

They looked more then just the gel coat to me.

Tanks for the info..

The boat definatly hit something good.. the lower unit was repaired.. I am guessing that is why the transom has cracks.
