Morning everyone. I have a 1989 evinrude te25elceb it will run great for two miles and then just shut down won't die just idle has new HEAT sensor and thermastaty

Is it flowing water well? Sounds like a failing rectifier or powerpack. And by the way, I am not mourning, hope you arent either.

Now you say it doesnt die, just goes at an idle. If you give it throttle after 2 miles does it bog down or idle well? How long do you have to wait for it to improve again?

No will not go just idled in time it will take off then it will do it again but some times u can half throttle

Hmmm sorry bro this sounds a little over my head. I have a hard time understanding how you have have the throttle open and still idle well.

Oh okay, now were talkin!! First make sure the primer bulb is staying hard. If not you may have a fuel pump issue. Try and pump the bulb and see if the motor stays running.If not we need to start troubleshooting the ignition system. If it was in the
