will not start

i have a 1985 yamaha 115 hp outboard motor it will not start it turns over and gas comes out of the carbs.i have rebuilt the carbs and replaced the fuel pump.but it still will not start any help would be greatly appriciated

How is the compression of each cylinder?
How about spark?
If you have gas coming out of the carbs it sounds like it is flooding

compression is fine will check spark but i just changed plugs what could be the cause of flooding i just rebuilt the carbs.

trash in the needle and seat or you messed up and the floats are hanging up or miss adjusted and not sealing off

If you do not have Yamaha service manual get one for you motor.
All floats I have seen were adjusted by bending the tabs according to meet the specs

i adjusted them and the motor started cut it off and it would not restart waited an hour tried again and it started did the same thing again cut it off it would not start back waited an hour and it started again what in the world would cause this

Does it have spark to all cylinders when it will not start?
If so then you have a fuel problem, if not then start testing the ignition components to see which one is out of spec
