Will Any 4" 470 Heat Exchanger Fit?

Hey folks,

So I'm ready to upgrade my '78 Mercruiser 470 with a 4" heat exchanger. Question is...Will any 4" Mercruiser 470 heat exchanger work? Judging by the pics I see online, it appears as if they do but I'd like to be sure. TIA.

They should. Only issue would be physical space in the bilge, but can't imagine that it's that tight in there. There are probably many hx that would work, the plumbing is fairly simple

The 470 mercruiser HXs only fit the 470s

While the bundle may be generic, the whole assembly is specific
