I own a 1960 Evinrude right aroubd 10hp, badge isignia states a model 10022

Havent run the motor in around couple years, fresh fuel, good blue spark.
Noticed past 3/4 throttle after a minute or so engine begins to stall. Could this be a result of a weak fuel pump?
Ive ordered a retro-fit pump suitable fkr my application to see if this helps the over 3/4 ooen throttle stalls.
Thank You

just keep pumping the bulb and if it runs OK the fuel pump is likely bad ...

but check cooling has uggested ... heat will kill it !

Impeller seems to be working properly " peeing" out on both sides on lower half in a "Y" fashion...where would a thermostat be located on my particular model so i can run a check?.
Thank You

It was easy to locate from your sent diagram, old thermostat appeared never had been changed in its entire lifetime.
Thermostat ring gasket had been torn pretty much thrashed.
I need to order another thermostat/thermostat gasket and a thermostat housing gasket.
Thank You

right but did it overheat? these t stat setups don't seem to have poppet/pressure relief valves, meaning the t stat always stays in place. if its stuck closed, looks like you can cook the powerhead.

Put it in some vinegar for couple of hrs.----Cleans it up.-----If it opens and closes 6 times I would re-use it.---Or $25 / 30 for a new one.

All last few seasons seemed to run normal...just that do to and illness could not rin my boat from 2017 to present, no real issues but sometimes intermentant vibration like msybe a timing issue...somtimes issues would smooth out fine..
Pure like a kitten...ordered a retro-fit fuel pump...new thermostat...
Always run non-ethanol

could be electrical or overheat -- or clog in the carb high speed orifice.

By the way, that t.stat gasket can be a bugger to mount leak-free. Torque evenly all around.

the engine looks pretty good ... no major discoloration. Don't know if you had cleaned it but that thermostat housing looks darn clean(no deposits)

Engine performance may be just electricals or carb has indicated by oldbaot1.

have you replaced the condensers at all ? touched up the points? etc...
