interesting stuff guys,i used to live in wisconsin, near little town called birchwood.used to musky fish holcombe flowage and long lake and amocoy just to name a few.now im doing the offshore thing in florida lots of fun but i miss the musky and sturgeon action.on the other end of the spectrum i used to love fishing the spawning season of the bluegills and panfish with some ultralight tackle.anyways tight lines guys

I'll figure the crappie situation out....It could be a hoax. I'll swing by Goob's and find out. He might have a pic.
D

-was out below Sauk dam again on Wed. evening till dark in the wind (only fools out) and picked up a Mooneye and 1-27" female Wally (released) Lindy rigging w/minnows. Happy to see the girls are around for a better fight! Tough fishing though.

Re: wi river eyes

Well guys, it was a miserable cold and rainy day, but we ventured down to Fremont on the Wolf, then ran upstream a few miles. Picked up a few 13 to 19" walleyes. Tough fishing, real high water after the 4 inches of rain this week, but we had to get out there.
I'm back home now, fed, showered, and still shivering. Supposed to go with a friend tomorrow to make his new boat go splash and zoom for the first time. Its forecast to rain all night and tomorrow. I hate fishing in winter clothes. Did I say it was cold.

Aquaholic, I've only fished Holcombe once, but it is going to be our destination lake this year (about 50 miles away). Hopefully I will be able to learn it sufficiently by the end of summer.

muskyone you are right about the bluegill capital of the world thing,i have caught 400 lb fish and still look very fondly on catching the big bluegills on light tackle.roscoe, good luck on the holcombe thing ,when i talk to my brother who lives very close to there and i'll ask him if he knows what areas are hot there now ill let you know what i here.its been a long time since i fished it.
