Re: Why am I not surprised....Well at least

March is the snowiest month for us here in VT.......... the daylight savings time is nice to see and a few bare spots in my driveway are a sign of things to come. Now if we could turn up the heat and melt the hull defilade capable embankments on my property I would even be happier.

In about a month (12 April) trout season will begin........ I can only imagine the Spring run-off and melting and how flooded the river's will be.

This certainly has been a L O N G C O L D Winter so far.

Yes....bring on the Sun!!!!!!! :)

Yesterday most of the snow left the yard ... Still the piles, still in the woods and shaded areas, but I can see grass! The maple syrup will be running up the trees very soon ...

I'm green, Speck. We easily have 2' in the yard. Maybe the mid 40s the next couple of days will help knock some of it down.....

MT, you just didn't try hard enough...........:) Don't worry you still have time, could be a bunch of winter yet.....

The plows around here have winged the banks way off the road. Had to pull a guy out yesterday who drove too far off to the side and got sucked into the ditch.....

Nope, we are not forecast to be under freezing for the next 3 weeks, the jet stream moved and now it is all warm, have had over 3 feet of snow melt in the last 5 days, that said, I am glad, I live in the mountains and not in the valley, it is getting really wet in the valley.

WOW 3 WEEKS? amazing how things can be so different, you have to be 700 miles north of me and I am guessing we are about the same elevation I'm at about 7000' and our lows are right at freezing for the next week...

Some folk will never "get it". sigh....

Yup Bubba, you're right. The planet is heating up and there is NOT A DAMN THING you, or me, can do about it.

It's cyclical. Mankind has been keeping records for about 150 years. That is NOTHING in the realm of the planet's life. It's POLTICAL! wake up and smell it.

When we have 10,000 years of data, I'll buy it. But, we won't. Let me know.

My gawd we're arrogant.

We have 10.000+ years of data locked up in glacier ice.
Interesting results from the Antarctic.

Ice has yearly rings just like a tree.

Put 200 miles on the Ski-Doo yesterday, today it's 50 out. We expect 2-4 this week, so I'm really confused, should I get the boat out or summerize the sled?
The morels wont be popping for a while, so who cares as long as we can get up and go out and play!!

Re: Why am I not surprised....Well at least

Heck, I got stuck on my snowmobiles more than any other year but my on demand AWD came in handy a lot in my suv's this year. Towing the snowmobile trailer down unplowed roads was actually fun since most years the AWD goes wasted. I heard the sleds buzzing around off in the distance all weekend. I'm just sick to death of the snow and can't bear to ride them any longer.
I dug out my front water spigot and detailed my 4 wheeler next to my 8 foot high snow piles instead.
