I posted an issue about a problem with regards to my Volvo Outdrive in the Volvo forum yesterday, and now its gone.

Because this issue might be a common problem, with the MerCruiser guys, I placed the post in their MerCruiser forum too.

Now thats gone.

Who do I complain to?
Who removed them?

Well pick up a mirror and look at that person. I looked at the Volvo outdrive area, your previous activity and I was not able to see where it was posted other than the Mercruiser area.

The forum software does contain glitches that time to time have an effect on posting and then there is the human side where we think we posted something and can't find it. I know that has happened to me in the past and it is frustrating but, it could be anything from computer to connection to software to human error.

So yes your complaint was heard and sorry but no one is to blame.because we do not remove posts (any post moved or removed is accessible to the Moderators - I looked it did not exist.

You did get sound advice in the mercruiser area

Good luck with it.

Additionally: Please remember the rules we all have agreed to:
9. If you have questions, concerns, suggestions or complaints about the rules, moderation, or management of this site please contact a moderator via PM or iboats management for discussion. It is forbidden to debate these rules or their enforcement in the forum.
If you have problems, questions, feedback or suggestions about the forums or the iboats website, please post your comments HERE.

If we had deleted the additional topic, this rule would have been why:
11. Please do not post multiple threads in multiple forums about a single problem. This is confusing to those trying to help you. Multiple threads in the same forum about the same issue are also confusing. If you want help fast, one thread in the most closely related forum is the best way to get it.

Any continuance of this should be handled by PM.

CaptErich - I gladly take the hit for not removing any posts.

Disclaimer - None of this reply should be posted in the open forum, but a public criticism deserves a public response. My apologies to all members.

You started a thread in the V-P section about your cracked V-P lower unit at 11:16 AM. At 11:23, 7 minutes later another thread appears in the Mercruiser section with this opening;

I'm posting this on the MerCruiser Page because I think you guys have probably ran across this more than any other brand sterndrive owners.

Since you had no faith that any V-P helpers would see the thread, you started a new thread in the more active M/C section. At that point we had duplicate threads. Normally the duplicate would be deleted, but that didn't happen.

The V-P thread was moved into the M/C thread, the two threads were combined into one. No posts or threads were deleted!

But you can't find your threads, so you decide to start this one to berate how the forum is moderated with this little Mod edited out nugget that was visible for 3 hours for all to see and viewed by many members;

GA Boater" has already gave me static in the past,. I wonder if it was he?

Well, it looks like you're getting more static from me;
  • You started a duplicate thread and not by accident.
  • You have publicly criticized forum moderation and a Mod.
  • And to top things off, you posted this thread in the wrong forum. We do have the Issues section.

I see you managed to find your "missing" thread(s), which aren't deleted are they? You just couldn't find it so you reacted by starting this post.

Who removed the threads? No one.

Who do you complain to? This guy - YOU;
