Who's going out this weekend

Show a hand, who's going to brave all the craziness and SHT at the ramp and on the water this weekend? I usually stay away from the water on Labor Day weekend. This year I am taking my uncle fishing on Sat. since he practically begged me to. I picked out a lake with a huge idle zone and I'm going to put in at the ramp on the idle side. Hopefully I will still have my sanity when I go back to work on Tuesday.

I am going out just not on the boat, I am taking the 5th wheel and the quads up to Utah to relax in the mountains. To many crazy people gonna be on the water.

Well, I will be out Sunday and Monday.
As for the crazies and SHT's, II deal with that every weekend here. The only difference this weekend is that more will be out.
We will hit the water early so my daughter and friends can ski, then it is straight to the sandbar until the crazies all get there, then it is safe to go back out on the water, then the crazies leave the sandbar and I head back.
Kind of a patern they follow .
As for the ramp, we will be using a private ramp so no problems.

I'm heading out early Friday morning to get in some fishing. Plan to be back at the dock before most the weekend warriors get out of bed.

we'll go out early sat in the least. the big lake has all ramps closed due to the drought though so the little lake will be a zoo.

I am absolutley going out. All weekend! We boat every weekend, and I am not about to miss a big one like this. I like to socialize anyway. We will park at the sandbar and watch the show. I think its great fun to watch people do silly things.

Besides this is the last weekend for the TU TU TANGO...
Bittersweet. On Tuesday she is being sold, so that on Friday of next week we can pick up the TU TU TANGO TU!!!!!!!
Love that Glastron and she has treated us well but now it is time for something a bit more. Guess I fell into the two footitus club that I swore I would not fall into...

Be careful all on the water this weekend. If you are in the St Augustine area we will have a Margarita machine running all weekend

Wife and I are going out tomorrow, then wife, daughter, perhaps son and I are going out Sunday. Beautiful weekend forecast and we haven't had a lot of good boating weather so want to get some in, so far a staggering 19.6 hours on the boat this summer!

We'll be out this weekend at some point. However, the crummy little boat ramp we use is not heavily used so I doubt we'll be effected by crowds.

There are 2 weekends we choose to do something other than boating...Labor Day and Memorial Day. We usually go boating the weekend before and the weekend after instead. Much safer and much less traffic!!!

Like dingbat, I might do some early fishing on Saturday and escape before the lake gets too crowded.

Then we have friends coming over Sunday and might take them out on the boat. The weather is supposed to be great, and hey...this is Michigan. If we stayed off the water on holiday weekends our fair weather boating time would be cut in half

i hope to get out for the entertainment... i'll likely launch late and come in early the next day..... i'll have my camera, but usually don't take pics of others, especially if there getting the blues... probably not what they need for someone around snapping pics of their sht....

Well, I'm flying back home at about 7 Friday night, I have the water pump kit waiting on me at mi casa, so Friday night I will be working under spotlights to get the impeller changed, and figure out why the gauges and radio aren't working (I think a fuse), and get all that done. We are gonna sneak out early Saturday morning and head to Egmont Key on the boat, the island is so big, no matter what you will always have open space around you. Besides, everyone else is gonna be at Beer Can Island.

Wish I could be making the run to Egmont (used to live in Sarasota).

For us, it might be a 10 minute decision. Drive by the beach (7 blocks from the house) and take a look, then decide based on weather and crowd.

I've been stuck dry due to a death in the family, son's tonsil surgery, and moving relatives to a new place.

Just so happens this is the first weekend again that I might be free to get out.

I live in the mountains, so I usually stay home on amatuer (holiday) weekends. But, I haven't had the boat out much this summer, so I'm heading up to Deadwood Res on Friday. Going to try to find a spot to camp on the far side of the lake, where there's no road. With a little luck, it won't be too cool, I'll get some relaxing fishing in and avoid the townies on the other side of the lake.
