White smoke?

When i start my Mercury 50hp 4 stroke from 1997 it comes white smoke from the exhaust pipe.
Is that normal? First time i see that smoke.

White smoke is usually steam. Blue smoke is oil, black smoke is fuel.

Does it clear up after a few moments?

I will check further tomorrow but if the smoke dont clear up is it something wrong then?

If it’s white, it’s either steam from the weather/climate…or you’ve got a compromised interface seal issue, allowing water to enter the combustion area. Told by looking at the spark plugs perhaps.

I have check the engine today and the smoke clear upp after a while , i took a picture.

Pull a plug.
If it’s “clean” you have a water problem. Typically a head gasket

The smoke clear out after a few minutes when the engine is running. Today i have test drive the engine and all seems to work just fine. I changed engine oil recently and the dipstick shows me air bubbles on the dipstick which make me wonder why air pass in to the oil? The engine has 3 litres oil. As you see on the picture the oil level is not correct it was because the oil has to flow down in the oil pan.
