Sorry it was a long night, and a crummy morning. I didn't mean to come off like a jerk, and I think I did.

There is lots of information here about surge brakes. Many many threads.

Aside from checking for leaks, making sure there is fluid in the master cylinder, and that the shoes are adjusted correctly that's it.

No problem. I did a search and discovered things about my rig I'm glad to know, but disappointed also. I basically have no working surge system. Not too big a deal to fix tho.
