While doing maintenance on a 200 hp dfi

Hi. I was doing an impeller change on a 2006 mercury 200 hp DFI. When I put the lower unit back in to the engine, I gues it change gears. How do I get to aline the shaft again? Thanks.

The engine apparently is in gear, not in neutral and the shaft does not go up all the way. How can I put the engine bck in neutral?

I was able to put it all together and working properly!
