--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I need to replace a piece of wood on the front of my pontoon boat.(which has rotted through) Do I use marine plywood, which is very hard to find in my area, or can I use another type of plywood ?
Thanks,
Steve

--------------------
stgeiner@charter.net

Re: which type of wood to use

Steve,
Use pressure treated ply and carpet it. That is how a vast majority of pontoon boats are made. Pontoon decks get too wet from the underside to use untreated wood. I currently own a 20' MonArk "toon".
