Which spark plugs

It is time to replace the plugs on my 67 Evinrude 9.5hp. This website (http://www.boatsetup.com/SparkPlugChart.html) lists the standard plugs as J4C's whereas Champions website lists the standard plugs as J8C which is two heat ranges hotter. Which ones should I use?

if you look at the bottom of the page in the link read the foot note. it is probably more up to date than the Champion site.

The Chapion J8C is way too hot for the 9.5HP. Take a look at the original parts manual and you will see that the motor started life with a J4J which now is replaced by the J4C. It is pretty hard to find a new J4J.
