which primer should I use

I'm going to be painting (rolling application) my '75 Thundercraft 160 top and bottom with Mega Gloss Gold white topside and would like to use a primer (preferably white). I'm new to boats and would like some advice on which primer to use. I also plan on painting graphics onto the boat at a later date using Mega Gloss orange by taping off the pattern, wet sanding the Mega Gloss Gold with 220 grit, and rolling on two coats of the orange Mega Gloss. Would this process work and should I use a clear coat since I'm using multiple colors and different times?

You should contact the MFG and consult with them on the appropriate primer and method of application.
