which impeller, research now shows 3 numbers

1971, 50 hp model 50172, the impeller eater. OEM, & ishop, cross references 337230 to 777213. then did a search at ishop, using their system and it shows 2 replacement OEM 122739 and 114812.

this has me thinking that the 777213 is not the right impeller and is too wide. i'm getting plenty of flow thru lower, and hose to water tube tsat open and engine ran at 148. per my toy infrared thermo.

i can't afford all these water pumps.

NAPA marine book shows 1971-78 50 HP impeller NAPA # 18-3083 OMC # 777213. Impeller plate, NAPA # 18-3343 OMC # 320981. Kit without housing, NAPA # 18-3376 OMC # 384956. Hope this helps.

Don't know Tash. Everywhere I've looked and crossed, I come up with 777213 as the correct one. Was that a new housing you installed with the first one?

i use the original housing on the first one, then a complete pump kit on the 2nd.

this is where i came up with the other numbers, i enter the 50172 for model, and impeller for part. i know we are not suppose to use direct links but, this is for explanation.
