Which exhaust manifold gasket?

Doing a bunch of maintenance on my new to me boat

2007 Volvo Penta 5.0 GXI (2007 Cobalt 212)

This started out with removing the exhaust pipe and riser so that I could have easy access to the steering actuator to remove and rebuild and three out of the four bolts on the riser snapped, clean and the manifold. I then proceeded to remove the manifold and riser assembly as one unit so that I could work on it at home with separating and bolt extraction and then also see how bad the risers rusted out if that's the case.

In any event, I wanted to order new manifold gaskets. I looked up the engine number on Volvo penta's website and it's telling me that the part number for the exhaust manifold gasket is

3852468

And the picture shows an exhaust manifold gasket that has the two inner ports open

But when I search for that part number let's say on Amazon it's giving me aftermarket ones that have the two inner ports closed.

Leaderrpm website also shows the two middle ports open

Unfortunately, the previous owner of this boat didn't use OEM gaskets. It's some type of aftermarket gasket and I can't tell if it was open or closed either.

Getting kind of confused between fresh water and raw water and closed cooling terminology used online. All I can say is that my engine cooling system does not use coolant. It has a water pump on the front that pulls water from the lake.

Here's a few pictures of it. Helps. Appreciate the advice guys.

Ayuh,...... Either of those shown will probably work, just fine,.....
But, in My book, if you want the best available, you can't go wrong, with Fel-pro gaskets,......
Fel-pro gaskets for yer application,....

Btw,... yer manifold to riser gaskets failed, possibly time for fresh manifolds,...

Agree with Bondo that manifold and elbow is toast

Yeah that's kind of the direction. I was leaning with the manifolds and risers being rusted out. I do have a strong suspicion that the previous owner took this boat into salt water and did not flush it appropriately like you're supposed to

This boat only has a little over 400 hours but the manifolds look like they have a lot more hours of salt water on them which is unfortunate

I took off the thermostat housing to also inspect the rust buildup. Went ahead and ordered a new thermostat and o-ring gasket kit but the inside of the housing does look like it's got some buildup of corrosion and rust.

I just bought about 12 gallons of vinegar and was going to soak these manifolds and the thermostat housing for a few days and see if it cleans them up at all.

The port side riser came off the manifold and all the bolts came off. No problem nothing broke

I have a picture of them if you guys could take a look and tell me what you think about them

Looking on the inside of the ports on the cylinder heads. No water came out of them and they don't have any rust buildup on the inside of them so I don't think anything has corroded through completely yet.

Ayuh,..... Looks like they'll clean up,.....
My local Machine Shop has a huge belt sander with a flat table to get 'em smooth, 'n Flat, so the gaskets can seal properly,....

I'd say you were VERY LUCKY that those didn't leak on the inside like they did on the outside!
Agreed, I'd use Fel/Pro for your manifold to engine gasket and use the Volvo OEM for the elbow to manifold and follow their instructions.
With those elbows you can actually remove a fitting to look inside with an inspection camera, and see if water is leaking inside without taking anything apart. A good idea after a new installation and at least at the start of each season.
