I am wondering which engine to get in a jet boat 120hp sportjet or 175 sportjet. I had the 120 before and had it up to 45 mph and was happy with the ease of serviceing. I know that the 120 is a rebadged force engine and the 175 is true mercury. I have read though that the 175 is common for oil injection pump failures is that any more true that oil pump failures on anything else? And is the overall reliabilty alot better with the 175? Also is the fuel usage alot more with the 175? Thanks for your opinions.
