Nautic Star makes some really nice center consoles. I know of a long-time saltwater fishing guide that swears by them.

Nice ride - nice boat. Glad you got home safe.

BTW - for what it's worth we've been extremely happy with the Scout after three seasons. Ours is a smaller Dorado dual console model but still, the construction reeks of quality and attention to detail. And after-sales support - even tho we bought used privately - from both the factory and our adopted local dealer (Payne Marine, Point au Baril on Georgian Bay) has been superb.
