Again, thanks for the help and your patience, especially 'chrisa660' great video mate!

I DID put the o-ring back on the top of the shaft though. In your video you say dont do that because water might get past it if its not straight. But if it isnt there at all surely water will DEFinitely get past it right?

Wrong. The later model shafts don't even have the groove. The seal in the bottom of the drive-shaft housing seals on the lower drive-shaft. THAT is what prevents water getting in, not the 'o' ring in the groove...

At idle it now sits around 140, thats lower than its EVER been since i've had this boat
What do you reckon about my old impeller? pretty knackerd eh?
Makes me wonder where all the pieces of it went to
