Oh man - Diablo did you ever score on that Muskoka storage rate. Most of the marinas in those parts are charging 30-40 bucks a linear foot for storage and winterization. I considered myself very lucky to get $400 for the winter in a Gravenhurst self storage place, and that was with me doing all the winterization work.

Sophers Marine on the north end of Sparrow Lake (Macleans bay). First time customer up there also..lol. Purchased the boat in Sept 2006. The previous owner has had the boat stored and serviced there for the last few seasons. I think he has had it serviced there for say 5 years and stored for 2 years prior to me buying it in Sept 06.

I figure for the $300 for storage/winterizing and $300 for the tuneup that I had done in the spring, it far outweighs the price of buying a new trailer for it to sit in a shed. It would be nice to have its own trailer however. That way they can go and grab it in the fall and spring time w/o swappin trailers around and offloading it onto blocks.

Cradle Ride in Markham is who Sophers use for all their trailers. If i wanted one, I mention Sophers and they would hook me up with a deal.. lol.

I keep mine at a boat/RV storage lot. It's $60 per month, but is close the the ramp that I generally use. Association won't let me keep it in my back yard.

Tashasdaddy - sounds like you have too many PWCs and need to give one to me!! :)

It was one of two primary requistes when we bought our house: 1. a garage big enough to hold a 22' foot boat 2. a place to sleep when the wife is mad at me.

Winter storage in the garage. It is a 2.5 car garage. The boat fits perfectly.
Summer storage is on a mooring at my parents place on Skaneateles Lake where I grew up. Just fortunate on this one. We built a form and dropped a half a ton of cement in it. Dropped it off the dock and picked it up with an electric winch mounted on our floating raft. Dropped it in the right spot; two think nylon ropes with all the hardware and I sleep at night when she's alone. BTW: the marina just south of us gets $600.00 for mooring fees and the list to get one is longer than my arm.

I live in the city so space is tight. I keep my runabout at the parents place...their driveway has a spot just perfect for it next to their garage :)

I built a pollbarn in my sideyard long enough to back the boat in and park my truck infront of it. I would like to have a barn since i'm on 5 acers of land but the county wants permits, plans, and inspections for anything other then a pollbarn.

Interesting timing. My parents just informed me that they bought a little bungalow on a few acres out in the country as a retirement place. Of note on the property is one very long field, a wind sock, and a hangar -- complete with poured cement floor, heat, bifold doors twenty feet high, and wall to wall tool cabinets.

Now, they don't fly so I'm sure the field will grow over, the wind sock will become a tattered curiosity, and at least some of the tool cabinets will slowly fill with junk.

Three guesses where the boat is going to live and get winterized this fall...

I have no room in my driveway... but I still keep it in my driveway. It's a 1 lane driveway and I got the winter car, the boat and the summer car in the driveway. It sucks because I like having the car close to the house but now have to walk out to the sidewalk area. I am thinking of keeping one car on the road... but small road.

I like the idea of leaving it en0route up north...
