where to junk a boat in SoCal

I might come into possession of a boat/trailer package. The boat (20 ft open bow) has been abandoned, rotted in the outside but the trailer is still usable. I'd like to keep the trailer, what are my options as far as getting rid of the boat? I live in SoCal, BTW, so LA/OC/Riverside are workable.

Check with your local sanitation yard. you may have to pay to dispose of it.

you may need a valid title

or in some cases, you spend $50 on saw blades and spend a weekend cutting the boat apart into pieces.

I helped a friend dump his 25' boat here. I don't remember what it cost and they actually helped get the boat off of the trailer.
