I have a 85 four winns 16 footer with a 120hp 2.5l im looking to buy a 13 diameter with a 17 to 19 pitch iv look at overton,iboats,west marine they recomend 14" to 15" diameter

Usually a 13" prop will turn out to be intended for an outboard. These will fit and work sometimes.
If you measure I think you will find that props over 15 inches in diameter will fit.
I do think on a 120 I would lean toward the smaller diameter props available for your motor.
You will find that usually as pitch goes up diameter goes down.

I just bought two from Dans Props which seems to be one of the main internet prop shops. iboats quit carrying the one I wanted so had to look elsewhere. Dan's was the cheapest I found for my prop. Don't forget about the hub.

Iim looking to buy a 13 diameter with a 17 to 19 pitch

14-15" diameter sounds right as most of the 17-19P Mercruiser I/O props will fall in this range. Higher pitch props (23", etc) dive into the 13" diameter range though. If you find a 13"d prop, I'd check make sure the barrel size is 4 3/8", so it mates up the the drive housing correctly.

You need to figure out what pitch you need before ordering as a 17 could over rev the engine, while a 19 might not allow the engine to turn it's recommended WOT RPM. Depending on your boat, load, usage, altitude, etc, etc, you cold possibly need a 15P, or maybe a 21P... check out the link I posted up in my first reply.
