So I was looking for a gasket for exhaust manifold front end cap and upon removal I found out the cast iron cap was broken which contributed to a small leak while engine was running. I looked online but did not really see any caps available. I would like to find this cap online as the only boatyard/junkyard here in SA I can find seems to be run by an really old lady and a group of shady characters who look like they are on drugs. I would like the cap, gasket, and valve cover gasket as well. If anyone can point me in the right direction as to what online parts website I can get this from would be greatly appreciated.
The engine is an OMC 140 Sterndrive.
Thanks in advance.

Other than OMC and the fact its a 3.0 (140hp)
Would help to know what vintage. O MC had 4 different manifolds over the years on the 3.0

May want to check out TC electronics at sterndrive.info. they deal with Obsolete Marine Co

valve cover gasket should be fairly easy to source, 3.0L engines have not changed much over the years

you can easily make a gasket for the end cap, just get gasket material and cut it to fit with a razor

the end cap is going to be difficult to find, very little chance of finding an oem part new let alone used online. best bet is to scour the internet for an aftermarket one but again there is little in the way of aftermarket support for any OMC brand sterndrive

Cork was what originally came on the engine. Turn the valve cover over in a vise and tap each mounting hole back so that they are flat with the mounting surface. Only use sealer lightly on the cover surface then install the cover just hand tight. Later then just a little more.
