Where to attach brown wire on 115hp yamaha 2 stroke

Does it matter if the brown wire is attached to a terminal block or should it connect directly to the battery? I'm having a low voltage issue on helix 7 depth finder that shuts the unit down when I start the motor.

Cranking is causing battery voltage to fall below 10.5V threshold and unit shuts off. Check motor to battery connection, starter amp draw, wiring size to terminal block and you may have go to a bigger CCA battery. Mine does that after several hours of fishing at night as lights,black lights and pumps on.

maybe a good idea to have a house battery to run electronics separate from the starting battery.
that way the starter never drags down the voltage to the electronics
