where is my serial number 92 40hp ? merc

Hi All can some one help with where my serial number is on my 40hp classic 92 merc i have found a plate on transom but it does not look or start like a serial number (09695151) is this it ? many thanks

That is the s/n and it comes up as a made in Belgium engine:

40 40 2-cyl 9682500 9740999 1992 Belgium

many thanks for that but my motor is an 4cly and the list you sent i still can not see my motor on it

Can you see a disc like this on the lower right hand side of the engine block and if so, what number is on it?
