Where do STINGRAY boats fall in the lineup of boats as far as quality goes?

I had a stingray, granted it was a newer one (2011) but had no complaints about the build quality. It was better than my current 2013 Bayliner's. If she is clean and well taken care of I say go for it.

Odd comparison. Little bowrider to a budget cruiser.

I just went from a 3.0 MC to a 4.3 VP. The 3.0 is fine with my wife and 2 kids. Add more adults and you will want a 4.3. I found the VP to be much louder than the MC because of where the exhaust exits when on plane. The 4.3 is much smother at idle. IMHO the VP out drive is overkill for the 3.0 and 4.3,

Whats so odd.
Canvas on the stingray was higher quality and more attention to detail was put in to fit and finish
Cockpit apholestry on the stingray was a higher quality material '
Hardware on the stingray (bolts, cleats etc) were higher quality on the stingray
Installation quality of the engine and outdrive was better on the stingray

Pretty much Stingray used better quality labor and matierals when building their boat. Bayliner cut corners everywhere they could.

The thing to keep in mind is the view from the Stingray is exactly the same as the bayliner. Get what you can enjoy the water with.
