Where Do I Get Marine Quality Non-Slip Strips?

I want to add non-slip /anti-skid strips to the fenders on my trailer. I step on the fenders as I step into the boat. This is a double wheel trailer. The fenders are thick, strong metal that can easily hold my weight. I can find anti-skid tape strips at the hardware store. (see pictures) These are 6 in. by 30 in. and would fit very well. They are not made specifically for boats. Should I just try them, or are there better options out there?

Those should work fine. I got something similar for my trailer and it works fine.

Have you looked at Skateboard grip tape? you may have more choices in size.

I cut some into strips and put them on the top of the trailer frame near the tongue (a convenient place to climb into the boat when it's trailered) and they have lasted for years.

I have cut my own for years from left-overs from nonslip ice shield used in roofing. Boat trailers, utility trailers, steps on equipment, etc. Never had any go bad or peel in over twenty years of use. Was also free!

That's a good idea!! Many different sizes and even different colors!

Thanks. I did just paint the fenders. I prepped with a wire brush on a drill and used Rustolium from a spray can. See picture. This was primarily just to stop the rust. It was not intended to look like a pro paint job. What do you think about the peel and stick adhesive that is already on the strips? I'm considering adding more adhesive just around the edge the prevent the strip from starting to peel up. Any thoughts of that? How did you prep yours?

That's metal...I'd just use some roll on bedliner and be done with it. Or aersol cans...your call.

Want a contrasting color other than black, look at Durabak as they sell it in small quantities.

Laid them out where they were going to be, taped around them and lightly scuffed the area with 220 sandpaper, not to much just a touch. Wipe down with acetone and apply.

I had a young son, he's older now but the skate boards had some damn good non slip.
