drop in one line next to him, call the wife or friend and ask for the # for the ranger station. if he doesn't show remorse or signs of changing his ways proceed to make the next call.
I had a similar incedent 3 weeks ago. I was at a local spot when these 2 guys were pulling in and keeping obviously too small of bluegills in a large quantity. I got the first call made when they dumped the livewell and left.

Sure, you could walk down the beach a bit but there is a reason why eveyone is bunched up like that.

FWIW: The picture was taken at "The Point" at Cape Hatteras. Pretty lax day compared to some. When the bite is on people are lined up there 3 and 4 deep.

Sure, you could walk down the beach a bit but there is a reason why eveyone is bunched up like that.

Is it for safety in numbers? lol - I can't even imagine fishing liek this. It looks interesting. What can you catch doing this? If I was casting into waves like that, it would feel pretty futile.... If somebody gets a bite, do they clear a hole and let the guy fight it in? Maybe just tell me what this is called and I'll google it.. Somebody said "surf fishing" up above, but I assumed that was for the loser with 10 rods on the cliff...

No, they don't clear a hole. Cooperation between "local" anglers is very good but it's up to you to control your fish and get it to the beach.

If fishing with 10 rods constitues a loser, add me to that club. I typically keep upwards of 12 rods on the truck when I'm on the beach.
