The inner bearing is the wrong size. The area of the spindle it's riding on is where the seal goes. The correct inner bearing is the same size as outer bearing.

Exactly, that way you know what is there, axle and matching hubs and bearings is the only way to run that again, I would not trust anything in that system that is currently there. It is far less expensive, than what could happen. To me hat looks like a disaster looking for a place to happen.

Yea, I'm just glad I got her home safe. This couldve ended very badly for me and others on the road. Thanks for all the advice and help guys.

I think you found your entire problem now and it should be easy to fix with the proper sized parts... Nice to see a problem solved... :thumb:

I think you may have posted the wrong video in your OP, I checked your other videos (I'm a noisy tuber) and think this video shows your main problem.

Your first guess of the wrong INNER bearing is correct. Get a a set of calipers/micrometer and measure your axle landings, then you should hopefully be able to find the correct bearings to fix your trailer.

If it were me I'd my first looking would be at the new pregreased hub kits that are available instead of just bearings but you may have some sort of odd ball size that led to the PO slapping it together with the wrong bearing.

Yea, haha. The first video was when I didn't discover the issue with the inner yet.
Fortunately I was able to find the Load Rite part numbers for the Axle and Matching hubs.
Ordered a new axle, 2 new hubs with bearings, grease gun, bearing buddies, and axle mounting hardware. I think I should be good now. haha.

Hi wanted to thank everyone again who helped me troubleshoot this issue.

Got all the parts in and installed. The trailer moves very smoothly and after a long trip the hubs are cool to the touch.
Packed the bearings with Lucas marine grease.
