all shimano either american or the japan versions. Got a curado, curado SF, calcutta, chronarch sf, sedona, and sahara spinning. Love them all and they are still top performers after many years. Whether you buy high or low always maintain them!

Abu Garcia, they last forever and the parts needed to repair them are everywhere. I personally have 2 5000's and 1 5500. And yes these guys are right, when adjusted right they will launch a 1/4 through 1/2 oz. lure as far as you want it to go. If you buy used or redone tackle as I do, don't get the ones with the round handles get the ones with the flat handles. The round ones used to break on me or get off-centered too easily.
