What's the namebrand of your favorite fresh water fishing rod. And I'll start off.

Mine is the old Ugly stik. It's a 6 footer and has seen some really tough times. But keeps on catchin'em.

Mine is an old 17 foot telescopic mitchel rod.It always manages to lower the bait in the holes where nothing else can do it.

gloomis GL2 7' musky rod that I paid an obscene price for and got more than my money's worth.<br /><br />Second is a Fenwick 6 1/2' HMG graphite light action rod.

Mine is a Browning 7'. Its only my favorite because I paid $100 for it and I'm trying to justify paying that much. My "lucky" rod is some cheapy zebco medium action. Sometimes my favorite is my Shamino ultra lite, The one that lives behind the seat of my pick up.

all my rods are bass pro quailifer rods for the most part.. it's the perfect all-round rod for me .. couldn't give specs an have made custom any better..<br /><br />but my fav,, as with JB,, spent major way too much.. <br /><br />as 9 foot 6 weight scott powr-ply fly rod.. <br /><br />bought it in '81 .. at the time,, there was no middle ground.. iether high dollar graphite or cheap fg.. <br /><br />bought it at a pro shop in walnut creek ca.. came with 8 hr fly castin' course from the pro.. <br /><br />$ 400.00 bucks over a lifetime is not nuts just peanuts..

oh boy, this is a toughy! .. I can't decide which.<br /><br />If ya held a gun to my head I'd blurt out St. Croix.. probably one of my 1-piece 7' UL spinning rods.<br /><br />yea, I love catching fish on light tackle.

I like lite stuff myself.<br /><br />Lets see, most productive rod, an old 6' Berkeley Cherrywood, $10 factory blemished, in about 1981.<br /><br />Best for jiggin and light touch fishing, St Coix sc3 6' med-light, built it last year.<br /><br />Favorite rod that does not spook fish and cause them to drop the bait, a very flexible 5'9" uglystick LitePro in med-lite action.<br /><br />"Bigger fish" rod, a StCroix sc2 medheavy that my brother in law built for me a few years ago. But it is ugly and almost an embarrassment to be seen with it. Black, red and gold thread wraps, goofy looking jeweled inlays, and some gaudy gold and red foil. Even the handle is wrapped in red and gold metallic thread, and epoxy coated. Did I mention it was ugly?<br /><br />But my favorite rod is the one that is a bit too small for the fish that is currently bending it in half.

for bass it's a tie btw. ugly stick and rhino...<br />actually snapped a rhino in half, but for some<br />reason, I always caught more fish on her???<br />never had a bad eagle claw spin pole either.<br />have a couple mitchell heavy poles for big lakers<br />and salmon, but not much feel when a 20+lb hits.

My favorite rig is my CRACK pole. I have no idea of name on rod but reel is a 33 Zebco. Bought it in a pawn shop for 7 dollars. I can be out fishing with 3 lines, all set up the same way, same bait, and I will catch more fish on the Crack pole. Go figure.

My favorite would have to be the Eagle Claw Feather Light rod 6'6" ultralight.<br />I have 3 of them now. The first one I bought off ebay on a whim, it must be from the 80's, it's a classic for sure. I liked it so much I bought 2 more identical(but new)rods while they were still available.<br />The rod tips are so springy they are perfect for throwing small spinners for panfish (which I do 74.3% of the time). It really gets the lure moving. They are also quite durable..I've caught several big bass & walleyes & they held up well. <br />The other 2 I use for bobbers.<br />Other than those 3, I only have one other rod/reel. A 6'6" Shimano Med/Heavy Fightin Rod w/ a Shimano Bantam Magnalite reel. This is my "anything bigger than a crappie" rod. I could probably catch a shark with this bad boy.haha

Any rod with me on one end and a big ol' bass on the other! <br /><br />Seriously though, I like my ugly stick a lot, but keep an old graphite Zebco onboard too.

Back in the early 80's prior to my divorce (which I lost all my fishing gear) I had bought some Phoenix boron rods and graphite rods. They were the TOPS for me. I cannot seem to find Phoenix anywhere now, and have heard that G Loomis is the same company. Is this true? Now Im just fishing with whatever rod that wal mart has on clearance Ha!!

The best rod i would have to say is th snoopy rod i got about 20 years ago. Ha no,no,no i would have to say my st.croix crank or some of my loomis GL2s or GL3s. No matter what you have as long as you catch fish and have fun!

My personal favorite is my Berkley Cherrywood 7' medium lite. Got it a Wal Mart. It is my #1 crappie rod. Has enough backbone for those smallies too.

Daiwa 7' Black Widow ( The Widow Maker )<br />and a Bass Pro 7-6 crankin stik, both with Diawa TD reels

Got a 7' Star Plasma rod from the Mrs for Christmas. Truly the nicest rod I've ever used.
