Re: What's you favorite rod?
I like lite stuff myself.

Lets see, most productive rod, an old 6' Berkeley Cherrywood, $10 factory blemished, in about 1981.

Best for jiggin and light touch fishing, St Coix sc3 6' med-light, built it last year.

Favorite rod that does not spook fish and cause them to drop the bait, a very flexible 5'9" uglystick LitePro in med-lite action.

"Bigger fish" rod, a StCroix sc2 medheavy that my brother in law built for me a few years ago. But it is ugly and almost an embarrassment to be seen with it. Black, red and gold thread wraps, goofy looking jeweled inlays, and some gaudy gold and red foil. Even the handle is wrapped in red and gold metallic thread, and epoxy coated. Did I mention it was ugly?

But my favorite rod is the one that is a bit too small for the fish that is currently bending it in half.
