Whats this motor?

Hi All,

In the boat repairing section they suggested I pop in here and see if anyone has any info about this motor, It's been given to us with a mystery boat that me and my partner are going to rebuild and all I know is it's been stored like this for 2 years but ran fine when it was last used about 2.5 years ago. If anyone can point me to some manuals or diagrams for it that would be extremely helpful as the whole project would hinge on this motor still being usable without a complete and total overhaul.

The colors look like 1989-93 to me I may be wrong you should post the seiral number it would help if it ran fine before it should run fine again I would rebuild the carbs and fuel pump and put a new water pump in and change the spark plugs and wires is it oil injected or premix if it is premix 50:1 should be right so you don't burn it up trying to get it running even if it is oil injected it wouldn't hurt to premix the first tank since it has been layed up for awhile Good luck

Cheers for the help! I'm hoping this weekend I can grab the SN off it but for now thats all I know, I'm told its a 3.0l motor and either a straight 6 or v6 but I wont know for sure unless someone recognizes it or I can get the cowl off it

It is a 2.0l V6 motor. Cowling will come off with a flip latch(flip it down) in the very front of the motor and one twist latch (twist them toward center of motor) on each side of the rear. Your picture 1 shows the rear latches. That motor will likely have 3 two bbl carbs.

Serial number will give exact year. Cowling colors are consistant with a 1993 motor.
