my project is 17 ' 1995 Mariner CC that i want to look like new.
the top and side of the gunnel are covered with a heavy vinyl wallpaper
like material that is coming off kind of easy but leaving alot of cleanup for glue. i read earlier there is a product that takes it right off. so is it some kind of wallpaper or marine stuff and where can i get more?? i thought the gunnels were going to be wood but it's aluminium and sturdy and DRY and riveted on. needless to say, there not coming off, just getting a new clean look.
sides of boat has carpet for a few inches then the vinyl which continues over the deck. the carpet's going along with old deck.
i hope to be able to keep site posted and working on being able to post pics. this site with pics has really got me jazzed about getting a clean rig. all the pics here look great.
my boat is simialar to mathewp but interior set is different. his doesn't look like he has the wide gunnels and another one below, almost a shelf, that runs length of boat. inbetween is rod holders. my gas tank is below console under deck. my stern is 2 storage areas on ends.
