what year is this outboard?

Thanks a lot . That's exactly it , i want to clean the carburetor and just get it running like new do you know anyone that can help me in the Los Angeles area?

a small tool set, manual, and this site you should be able to do it all yourself.

Go to the local Marine dealor and get the Seloc, Volume I Outboard Repair Manual. That will give you lots of good info on tear down and rebuild, as well as tune up info.

I would strongly recommend the factory service manual over any others. There are a bunch of folks here that are more than willing to help with any of your questions but a manual gives you a basis of understanding that is necessary to even ask the right question. You will be able to get the thing running like a champ in no time. Rick.
